VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Tuesday that the club has signed forward Daniel Ittycheria to a Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) contract in MLS NEXT Pro. Ittycheria is signed through 2026.

Ittycheria, 22, spent the last three years at Princeton University, where he recorded 28 goals as well as eight assists en route to helping the program win back-to-back Ivy League Tournament championships. During that time, the forward earned a collection of honours including First-Team All-Ivy (2023, 2025), Second-Team All-Ivy (2024), Ivy League Tournament Most Outstanding Player (2024), United Soccer Coaches All-Region (2025), and Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year (2025). In total, Ittycheria started 51 of his 64 appearances for the Tigers.
Following the 2024 season with Princeton, Ittycheria was drafted 40th overall in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft by D.C. United and then returned to Princeton for his final year.
Before Princeton, Ittycheria played for Players Development Academy's U-19 MLS NEXT team. The forward also spent time at Pingry school, where he scored 32 goals in 33 career matches and was an All-Region, All-State, All-County and All-Conference performer. Ittcyheria was also named to the high school All-American Watch List. In-between collegiate seasons, Ittycheria played with FC Motown.
