VANCOUVER, BC – Major League Soccer announced on Monday that Vancouver Whitecaps FC Raumdeuter Thomas Müller has earned a spot on the MLS Team of the Matchday 28 following his performance in the club's 3-3 draw with D.C. United at BC Place. The result saw the ‘Caps remain atop the Western Conference with eight matches left in the regular season.
Müller, who joined the ‘Caps juat over a year ago, scored his 10th goal and recorded his eighth assist this season across all competitions. In the first half, he combined with Bruno Caicedo for an impressive one-two, setting up Caicedo to put the Blue and White ahead 2-1. In the second half, Müller got on the scoresheet himself, firing a 20-yard strike off the woodwork and into the net to give the ‘Caps a 3-2 lead.
After a small break, Whitecaps FC are on the road for a series of away games playing Chicago Fire FC on October 6, Los Angeles FC on October 10, St. Louis City FC on October 14, Austin FC on October 17, and Colorado Rapids on October 24.

Müller adds to the continuous presence for Whitecaps FC on the MLS Team of the Matchday this season as well as his own presence. The attacking midfielder has been named to the TOTM on Matchday 2, Matchday 15, Matchday 19, Matchday 20, Matchday 23.
