Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Oliver Turner from BC Children's Hospital as Kid Captain for Saturday’s home match against San Jose Earthquakes.

Oliver is a vibrant and talented four-year-old with a passion for soccer, especially the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. He was diagnosed with cancer in the beginning of 2024 and has gone through ten months of chemotherapy as well as six weeks of radiation. He looks forward to attending kindergarten next January. Oliver enjoys playing soccer and baseball, and loves Minecraft and Roblox. Small but mighty, he is a hero!

In honour of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Michael Cuccione Foundation will double every donation made until September 30 to help support cancer patients and their families at BC Children's Hospital. Donations can be made here.

Please join in welcoming Oliver to the match!
